NON IONIC SURFACTANTS :  TBPE-AS Method

Range:  0 – 10  mg/l

PRINCIPLE

The automated procedure is based on the property of the ethoxylated  and propoxilated chain of  non ionic surfactants  to bound with  bromine group of the  dye TBPE  to form a  colored complex, extractable with dichloromethane.                                                             

The determined non ionic surfactant are called TBPEAS ( TBPE active substance )

The color intensity of the dichloromethane phase is measured at 609 nm
